The American Bulldog Association (ABA) does not endorse the recognition of the American Bulldog by the American Kennel Club (AKC), or the group of people pushing for AKC recognition. The ABA, established in 1989 as the original breed specific registry for the American Bulldog, will continue to operate to protect the diversity, integrity and working aspects of the breed.
